Altoids Survival Kit: Aruba v1.0

There are a number of very creative survival kits out there, some of them packed into an Altoids Mints tin. I decided to make my own version, specifically designed for use on the island of Aruba. Check out the video:

Surely that little kit will come in handy. Make your own and customize it for your needs. You never know when you’ll need one of those items! Bon dia.

Eataly food truck, Aruba, DWI

Eataly food truck serves some of your Italian favorites. They’re located at the “Texaco Traffic Circle” in the parking lot of the Eagle Bowling Alley/Hipz fitness club. Plenty of parking there. They open around 8:00 PM, but best to go a little later after they have things set up and ready.

I enjoyed the pork sandwich which was very tasty but needed a bit more meat inside to make it a better value and hearty sandwich. Here’s a look at the main ingredient:

There is a connection between this truck and Gianni’s Restaurant near the hotel area. At any rate, if you’re in the mood for an evening snack or meal, this may be the place for you. Enjoy!

Mangel Alto, Aruba, Panorama (2014)

Exploring the features of the Nikon 1 AW camera, I went to a place called Mangel Alto on the island of Aruba. This is a great spot for snorkeling, scuba, or just looking at the beautiful blue sea. Here’s the panorama:

That’s one to save for the winter. It will definitely cheer you up and thaw your bones. If you get to Aruba, be sure to check this place out, maybe aboard Tranquilo, a great sailboat that will take you to this exact spot for a day of fun.

Aruba Airport to Hotels, Driving Video

Here’s another one of my Aruba Driving Directions videos. This time, you’ll go from the Queen Beatrix Airport to both the low-rise and high-rise hotel area. Instead of driving through Oranjestaad along the waterfront, you’ll go inland to avoid what can be a very congested area. Depending upon the time of day, both routes can be busy, so be warned. Here it is:

As always, be careful while driving. If you have a passenger with you, let them enjoy the sights during that first, unfamiliar ride. Concentrate on the road. Enjoy your visit to Aruba! (For this video: Cameras and lenses by Nikon.)
