Elfreth’s Alley Snapshot

Here’s a quick look at Elfreth’s Alley in Philadelphia, PA, USA. This is a street from before the United States was a country, with some houses dating from about 1707.

This area of Philadelphia has plenty of construction going on at the moment. However, this alley will be preserved for years to come, which is a nice touch. If you’re passing by, this is worth a look.

Washington’s Chapel, Valley Forge

Visitors to Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, USA will find some beautiful scenery and this stunningly beautiful chapel.

The attached cloister is a good place to meditate. Inside you’ll find a marvelous space with historic flags and stained glass.

On the blocks!

The previous post showed the barkentine Gazela in position in the graving dock. Today we take a look at herĀ on the blocks. These photos are large on purpose. They’re excellent eye-candy for people who appreciate all things nautical. Let’s start with the long view:
