Water Taxi to Venice Airport

The water taxi ride to Venice Airport is another one of those things that costs some money but is worth it. Here’s the video, leaving the heart of Venice all the way to the airport. Stay with it to see an airplane on final approach. You’ll see plenty of action in the small canals, too.

Enjoy the journey where you’re going.

Wide Angle View, Venice, Italy

My little Nikon 1 AW has served me well for the past 4 plus years. I have a wide angle lens on it most of the time and with good results. Here’s one of my favorite snaps from this visit to Italy:DSC_3524There’s a lot going on in that photo. WordPress squashes it, which is aggravating because it’s practically a panorama of the scene.

Nostalgia in Venice, Italy

While roaming about Venice, Italy, I found some relics from the bast that were particularly applicable to my own likes. One was the old Coca-Cola cooler:

St. Mark’s Square, Venice, Italy

St. Mark’s Square is that famous central gathering spot in Venice, the one you see on the travel shows. Here’s a look at it on a quiet evening with a lovely couple taking a photo:
