Just for fun, I made a little video showing the takeoff, meals, and landing on American Airlines Flight 740 from Philadelphia to Madrid, Spain.
It was a great flight. Excellent crew, good food, and safe. Looking forward to many more like this.
During a recent visit to the La Rioja region of Spain, I had the pleasure of staying at the Hospederia del Vino. Located at the very edge of the hamlet of Ábalos, this is an active winery with a comfortable guest house, complete with pool and hot tub.

The main building seen above features several guest room and the various places for dining and meeting. Here’s a look at the pool, which is indoors.

Plenty of room in the water for you and all your friends. The Hospederia is operated by the Puelles family, and Jesús is passionate about his wine and country, so definitely opt for the wine tour and tasting. Here’s a look at the room:
Everything here for a comfortable stay, including a well appointed bathroom that can be seen in the next photo:
There is plenty of parking, a great breakfast, and all the tranquility you need for a great sleep. More about Spain soon!
Of course New York City hosts some of the best museums in the world. One that I find particularly interesting is The Morgan Library on Madison Avenue. Yes, this building is from J.P. Morgan of financial fame. It is packed with stunning examples of the printed word in many forms that will impress and amaze. Not to mention the facility itself. Take a look at the ceiling here:

As well as the tapestry above the fireplace. This is a magnificent interior that deserve serious study itself. Here’s one of my favorite items from the collection, a manuscript from J.S. Bach.

Seeing something written in composer own hand leaves no doubt as to authorship or original intent. And here is one of Isaac Newton’s original notebooks.

There is plenty more to see, including visiting collections and things from the vaults. Best to check in here several times a year to see what’s on offer. Enjoy.
On St. Mark’s Place in New York City, you’ll find a great comic book shop. Here’s a look at the front.

I first went into this shop in 1986 when it was located on the upper level. Nonetheless, they still have all your favorite comic books from the major companies as well as the independents, not to mention a large selection of graphic novels, games, and other related material.

Friendly staff will help find what you’re looking for and give you the latest news from the business. Comic art can be fantastic, so take your time browsing. Just another form of story-telling. Enjoy them all.
