In the Basque region of Spain, you’ll find a number of beaches, including this one:
The water is a bit chilly compared to the Caribbean. Still, there are people who enjoy the sea, in particular surfing. At some of these beaches, capable life guards keep an eye on things:
Of course, there is great food just on the other side of the promenade. Enjoy the swim responsibly and carefully.

A staircase leads to the chapel and it is worth the climb.
The photo above gives some perspective to the terrain here, which is quite mountainous. Pulling back a little, you can see the altar to the right of the chapel.
This is a place of pilgrimage for many believers. It was impressive to see their devotion and respect.
