Snow Belly

As mentioned previously, I’m in the process of remodeling a bathroom at my shack in Aruba. Of course, tile is required to cover the walls. One of the supply houses where I purchased some tile has a house cat. They call her “Tiles.”

Tiles is not a very creative name but I give them credit for the effort. I renamed her “Snow Belly.” I mean, check out that fine white fur there. She’s doing a good job, taking out mice and other small creatures, all the while keeping herself in pretty form. You have to celebrate that. And remember, be kind to animals, it’s one of the keys that unlocks the gates of heaven.

The Graduate

Driving through my neighborhood in Aruba, I came across the Graduate, a fine feline relaxing in the sunset glow.

Just hanging out, literally, this cat is. Ah, cats know how to live: love seafood, treasure an afternoon nap, and an all night sense of adventure. This guy must be pretty well educated because that black cap on his head shows he got a diploma. At least I’d like to think so.

Grumpy and Fade

Grumpy and Fade are two more cats that live in my neighborhood on the island of Aruba. Grumpy is the little black cat in the photo below. He’s always making trouble with his pal, Fade, whose colors enable him to blend in with the hues of the walls in the area. Take a look.

fadegrouchJust one look at Grumpy and you can see he’s trouble. At the same time, I’ve seen these two napping in the afternoon, minding their own business. You have to feel sorry for any small creature in their theater of operations. These two can be vicious when it comes to small birds, lizards, and such. Of course, they’re cats: lovable one minute, killers the next.

Bon dia.
