My little Nikon 1 AW has served me well for the past 4 plus years. I have a wide angle lens on it most of the time and with good results. Here’s one of my favorite snaps from this visit to Italy:
There’s a lot going on in that photo. WordPress squashes it, which is aggravating because it’s practically a panorama of the scene.
Another one of those must-see place, the Rialto Bridge definitely has its charm. Best seen from a gondola ride:

Packed with visitors and junk sellers. Detracts a little from the experience. Walk over then find a good restaurant a few minutes away.
As long as we’re in Venice, let’s go for a Gondola ride. Some may think this is a silly tourist adventure. Forget that. It was fun and interesting to see the buildings at water level, passing through the smaller canals for a peek at how life flows in this exotic city. Check it out:
There was some singing, lots of photos, and great views of some Venice sights. Highly recommend this to all.
