The People’s Seat

Scott Brown speaks the truth, that a senate seat does not belong to any family dynasty the way royals think they’re entitled to rule their kingdoms. Instead, the people have the right to choose who takes that seat. And here is the man himself making the case:

Enough said. For now.

Don’t underestimate…

…the value of a stationary trainer. In this case, I opted for a magnetic resistance unit, to which I attached my Trek mountain bike. At first I thought this thing was not all that challenging. After a little while, I started to sweat. Then I was really sweating. I added some light dumbbells for some upper body resistance and that did the total trick. What a good workout. It’s about all aerobic, but that’s what is needed in this case.

So, if you have a bike and don’t like to head out in the cold. Hook up a stationary unit and pedal away. You’ll be surprised how well it work.

Be good. Be well.

New Year’s Eve, Madrid

Here’s a great video from Spain’s Channel 1 showing the New Year’s Eve festivities at the Plaza Mayor in Madrid. Keep a keen eye on the footage as they project scenes from various countries on the main building behind the hosts.

And aren’t those hosts snappy dressers? You bet! Someday I’ll have to experience New Year’s Eve in Spain. I did in Aruba once, and many other times in the USA. Each country has their own approach. Viva la diferencia!

Special thanks to www.madridman.com for tipping me off to these video.
