Here’s another review of a “meal ready to eat.” This one is made by XMRE Meals, and it is Menu 4. Here’s the video:
I have to say, these meals are quite tasty. There’s plenty of calories and decent nutrition as well. I prefer them to the freeze dried type of food. If you’re putting together a kit for a natural disaster, XMRE’s would be a good addition. I will be reviewing a few more in the near future, so check back frequently.
An interesting opportunity came up, one to make a music video for Stone Temple Pilots who now have Chester Bennington (of Linkin Park) doing the front-man work. Their song, “Black Heart” was in need of a video. So, I put together a small crew of talented people and voila! Here’s the link for a look at the video:
We filmed the entire thing in San Nicolaas, Aruba, Dutch Caribbean. At times conditions were very challenging, but all’s well that end’s well. Has a nice, gritty look to it, that I thought fit the song. Hope you like it.
I saw Darn Tough Vermont socks advertised and decided to give them I try. VERY IMPRESSIVE. Now, you’re saying, “Socks, what’s the big deal?” Well, if you’re on your feet all day, maybe for work or maybe for play, good socks make a big difference. I went with the run/bike model, finding them to be everything they are advertised to be. Strong, light, VERY comfortable. Check out the video:
Having used them in various applications, I can say they live up to their name. Please note: I think the sizes run a little small, but they fit snug to the foot, which is important. You don’t want your sock shifting around; that’s how you get blisters. These socks do the job and are guaranteed for life, which is another amazing feature. As always, you get what you pay for. Since these socks are made in the USA and awesome, they cost a few bucks more. Worth every cent!
Also, if you saw my previous post, I really did have a collision with an SUV. Generally healing okay, thank you.
Hollywood Station, by Joseph Wambaugh is a wild ride through Holly-weird. This story is perfectly paced and draws you in through a series of vignettes that are alternately heart-breaking and comical. Here’s my video review:
This is the first book by Wambaugh that I’ve read. I look forward to several more in the same location and with many of the same characters. If you like you’re cop stories with heart, this is the book for you. Not all of it is pretty, but it is certainly realistic.
