How the book began…

The following is a short video, showing how I sketched out an idea for a story, the very beginning. It evolved into my novel to be released in October 2019, titled, The Next Testament.

I usually start with a title. Everything points in that direction. From there, I start sketching out some of the big concepts and action that will take place. Then it’s characters. More vids to follow, showing the details of the process in short form. Stay tuned.

Nostalgia in Venice, Italy

While roaming about Venice, Italy, I found some relics from the bast that were particularly applicable to my own likes. One was the old Coca-Cola cooler:

DSC_3540I went through many, many rolls of Kodak film. From Tri-X and Pan-X black and white to Ektachrome positive film in large format. Always good stuff.

Small vehicles, Rome, Italy

Walking around Rome, Italy, I spotted a number of tiny vehicles. In a city of tiny, winding streets, it’s definitely easier to use one of these than a full-size machine. This fleets makes deliveries:

DSC_3197Look at it compare to the bicycle on the right. Here’s a colorful variation:

Pan over Ancient Rome

I took this little video from atop the Palantine Hill. On the left is the Roman Forum and ancient temples, panning all the way to the right where the Colosseum Stands. Take a look.

Just imagine, this was the very center of the known world about 2,000 years ago. Incredible.
