Well Done Snack, Aruba

Plenty of snack trucks dot the island of Aruba. I’ve been driving by the Well Done at the Talk of the Town traffic circle for a quite a while and stop in there from time to time for comfort food. Here’s a quick visit on video:

That’s comfort food that will fill the hole. Plus, you get double the starch: rice and fries. All that for about 17 florins (approximately $10). Stay tuned for more visits to snack trucks, rum shops, and other interesting places here in Aruba.

Starbucks, Aruba, Palm Beach

Starbucks has several locations here in Aruba. Join me for a brief visit to the one along the boulevard at Palm Beach. Here’s the video:

I know that was a quick visit, but stay tuned for more and longer videos from Aruba and elsewhere. Don’t forget to “like” me on Facebook, too.

Facebook at last!

It seems I’ve finally entered the 21st century. Despite my affinity for fountain pens, slow flying airplanes, and traditional story-telling, I have relented and a Facebook author page is now available. This is a good thing because many of you are on Facebook and it will be very convenient to find The Bent Page, my YouTube videos, my website, and the latest about my books. You’ll also see a steady stream of updates on what I’ve been doing (getting in trouble) lately.

So, here’s how to find me on Facebook. Log in to your Facebook account like always. Copy this link:

and paste it into the URL window at the top of your browser and it will send you to my page. It should look like this:

When you click on the thumbs-up “like” button, you’ll be taken to my page with an update on the new book, Dark Currents. Alternatively, you can search for Daniel Putkowski, and my page should pop up. I’m looking forward to connecting with more people in this newfangled way. All the best, and happy reading!

Pastechi in Aruba

Pastechi are little pockets of fried goodness filled with various things such as ham and cheese, or fish, and so on. They vary in size and type depending upon where you get them. When I’m in the mood for a pastechi fix, I stop at the Tia Rosa snack truck located near the Pos Chiquito circle. Here’s a video showing how to get there and just exactly what a pastechi is.

Well, there you have it, pastechi inside and out. More video to come from Aruba, so stay tuned.
