Guard Dog

Stopped in to see some friends a couple of days ago at their business, which happens to be a beer distributorship. Their dog was guard duty as you see here:

His name is Rocco, by the way.

Things found…

Pack rats unite! Open those drawers, closets, and basement doors and take a look at the random things that, for some reason, you decided to keep. Don’t ask me why, but I kept some Mexican money from a trip there back in the early 1990’s.

It would have been smarter to turn that currency into dollars and spend it wisely. Not sure, why, but I kept it, buried deep in a desk drawer. Plenty of other random treasures in there, too. I suppose this is how archaeologists feel when they make a remarkable discovery from a thousand years ago.

Giant Meatball

Seems to be a trend in Italian restaurants these days. Most I’ve visited in the past six months have a giant meatball on the menu. Check out this example:

That was a tasty meatball, for sure. Perched atop the rigatoni in a homemade sauce, it was also very filling. Almost couldn’t eat it all, but persevered to the end. Enjoy every meal.

Snow Bike

Bicycling is lots of fun and can keep you fit. Winter is no reason to stop riding, either. As you can see in the photo below, I took to the streets and trails on my trusty Trek.

Of course, I wasn’t jumping over piles of snow. But I’ve been out there plenty this winter season, wearing my cold weather gear, cranking out the miles and burning the calories. The Trek never misses a beat. Just be careful around the cars and other hazards.
