Druif Beach is a swath of sand located near the Tamarijn Resort in Aruba. It’s not the largest beach on the island, but it certainly is quite nice. Here’s a photo, looking north west.
There’s plenty of room there to stretch out and soak up the sun. This season there were few crowds here. It was slightly crowded a few Sunday afternoons, but nothing to complain about. Of course the adjacent Caribbean is balmy and inviting, one more reason Aruba is such a popular vacation destination.
Bon dia from Aruba.
That’s a nice selection of hardware there. While I’m not much of motorcycle enthusiast, I appreciate the vibe. It has to be a barrel of fun, especially on a Caribbean isle, just rolling along, sunshine on you, breeze blowing, taking in the sights. Nice way to ride.
There in the background you see Charlie’s Bar, a San Nicolaas institution since 1941. On or off your bike, join us here for some refreshment. And please wear you helmet!
Fortunately, I have my own washing machine and clothes line here at my shack on the island. No need to avail myself of the Quickie Lickie services. You have to admit, that is a great name for the business. Catchy, informative, perfect.
It’s tons of fun to check out this place on a regular basis because every time a ship calls at the port it’s possible Win Tung received another container of “stuff.” Upstairs is where you find the furniture, everything from living/dining room sets to complete office arrangements. Much of it is the high-lacquer style popular in Asian countries but they do have a variety of choices. Prices here are usually quite good but it always pays to shop around this island. Sometimes one item is much cheaper than the same item somewhere else.
Finally, check out the lion statue closely. You’ll see a small lion atop the foot of the big lion. Both are roaring and that’s sure to chase the evil spirits away. Right?
