As long as we’re on the subject of flying, here’s a video showing a takeoff from Brandywine Airport, a touch and go landing at Easton, MD, and another landing back at Brandywine. Let’s head out to the flight line.
Checklists are one way pilots are sure to cover all the steps for a given portion of the flight. They come in handy for all types of things, too, not just flying. Make one for yourself, perhaps for packing your vacation suitcase. See you at the airport soon.
People frequently ask me about the food in the grocery stores here in Aruba. Regular visitors looking to stay longer on the island want to know what they can find in terms of the regular staples. So, I made this little video about the bread (rolls) from three different bakeries.
As mentioned, each of these bakeries sells a full line of products, including wheat, white, and oat bread. When time permits, I’ll make more videos showing different items from various stores so that you’ll have a better idea what to expect when you’re here. Hope this has been helpful.
The Lingo Guide for Builders is a concise English to Spanish and Spanish to English translation book. It’s specific to the building trades so you don’t have to wade through an entire dictionary to find the word for fusebox. This slim volume came in handy during the renovations of my shack in Aruba. Here’s the video review:

ESV Study Version, video discussion
The English Standard Version Study Bible has proved to be an invaluable resource for me as I do research for a novel I’ve been working on for nearly two years. Of course, it contains the text of the Bible, but it also features an introduction to each book by a scholar who provides additional contextual insight. Then there are the diagrams, maps, and illustrations, as well as glossaries and cross reference indices. Here’s my video discussion:
If you’re interested in a deeper look at the Bible, I can highly recommend this version. And don’t forget, it comes with the key to access the content on the internet, which makes it that much easier. All in all, a useful study tool.
