Cupcakes, again!

Last year I posted about the Cupcakes and Berries stand located at the Paseo Herencia Mall in Palm Beach, Aruba. Well, the cupcakes lure me from one side of the island to the other. Simply can’t resist. Last night, I ventured up that way and scored a nice sample of the good things they have there. Take a look.

That was a tasty example for sure. Plus, you can have red velvet, another favorite of mine, and many other types. They’re fresh as can be, too, so eat them right away. Here’s a look at the entire stand so you’ll know what to look for:

Things like a cupcake can make that special night out even better. Enjoy and bon dia.

The Kitchen, Aruba

The Kitchen is an easy-going, friendly place for a reasonably priced meal. Located just on the edge of Oranjestaad, close to the large grocery stores, it offers up a wide menu of choices. We dined there a few nights ago, starting with a couple of salads, including this chef’s salad:

Note the glass of wine on the side, which was reasonably priced and tasty. Then there was a mixed green salad as seen next.

This time, to the right you see some fresh toasted bread with tapenade of olives and tomatoes, both of which were quite flavorful. The salads were very fresh and loaded with ingredients. Finally, we tried the tenderloin. It is served on a hot skillet with veggies and a potato. Here it is:

The steak was good, a little tough, but for the price was a fair value. Most of all, we had great service. I also mention the drink prices as seen here on the table card.

For anywhere near the tourist area in Aruba, these prices are excellent. Plenty of seats front the well-stocked bar, so you can stop in for a drink and a snack and stay on budget. Bon dia.

Cupcakes, Aruba

While wandering through the Paseo Herencia Mall in Aruba, DWI, I discovered a brand new kiosk called Cupcakes & Berries. Cupcakes are, of course, irresistible. Hence, I spoke with the nice lady and availed myself of several delicious cupcakes including a double chocolate and a red velvet. Check out my video visit:

This is a great stop after dinner or for a take-away treat. Don’t forget, they also have chocolate covered strawberries and some zany accessories as well. Bon dia from Aruba.

Cupcakes in Aruba

Who doesn’t love cupcakes? They’ve been gaining in popularity in the USA for years now, with cupcake trucks on the streets of NYC and shops opening up most everywhere. There’s now a place at the Paseo Herencia mall in Aruba, which means I can not escape one of my favorite things. Take a look.

Very nice lady working there. I plan on returning to make one of my short videos. Can’t resist the cupcakes, after all. Here’s a look at the current menu board for some selection deliberation.
