Bavaria German Restaurant, Aruba (2014)

I usually stop in to Bavaria German Restaurant during each visit to Aruba. Bavaria serves up all your German food favorites with plenty of beer choices as well. Owner Peter and his team are happy to explain the different beers, so don’t be afraid to ask. I tried a couple, including this one:

Of course I wanted to have a typical German meal and went with the bratwurst, mashed potatoes, and red cabbage that you see next:

The spicy mustard really makes the taste pop. Indulge liberally in that. The prices here are excellent, giving you good value for your money, within sight of the big hotels on Palm Beach. During the meal, I had a very interesting conversation, learning things about Germany and that part of Europe. Enjoy every meal!

Apple Pie Cupcakes

Thanks to The Classic Diner (Malvern, PA, USA), my dessert habit remains in full effect. They recently announced the availability of apple pie cupcakes. These delicious bundles of goodness have an apple pie like filling with butter creme icing drizzled with caramel. Yeah, triple down on the flavor. Here’s a look:

Wow, are the ever tasty! I’ve been rationing myself one per day. May have to make a re-supply run very soon. Enjoy every meal!

Homemade MRE, Menu 2, video

As promised, here is the second installment of Shipwreck Rations. Menu 2 is one that will definitely fill you up. How about buffalo chile, black beans, and rice, plus all the snacks? Check out the video below:

The two flameless ration heater bags are well worth the small extra cost. They heat up the food, making it as appetizing as possible. As mentioned, this menu is great for a cold climate or when you really need those extra calories. Menu 3 is coming soon, and it’s one that would be good for a shelter in place situation, such as your office. Check back often so you don’t miss it!

Koi on the Go, food truck

Koi On The Go is more compact than many food trucks I’ve seen lately. In fact, it’s a small trailer made of what looks like aluminum diamond plate. Here it is, parked at the Penns Woods Winery:

Not much room to work inside there, but the food was delicious. Let’s take a look at the menu.

We tried the Asian Sandwich and the Crab Cake Sandwich. Wow! Both of them delicious. Take a look:

Talk about tasty. That Asian Sandwich had the rich flavor of the pulled pork amped up with the bbq sauce. Yummy. I should have had another one! Anyway, it was all good. And the price was very fair given the high quality. Enjoy every meal!
