Driving to Casa Vieja, Aruba

Sure, I posted before about Casa Vieja, which is my favorite Colombian restaurant in Aruba. This time, we’re going to drive there, the way I’ve been doing to quite a few places. This makes them easy to find when you visit the island. You can also pause the video to check out the menu. Okay, here we go, driving to Casa Vieja, staring on the main highway from the hotel area to the Queen Beatrix Airport, all the way to the restaurant. Start your engines:

How do you like that Bandeja Paisa platter? Quite a meal, eh? Don’t forget the cholesterol lowering medication of your choice. Bon dia from Aruba.

Driving to the Hollywood Smokehouse, Aruba

Finding the Hollywood Smokehouse Diner in Aruba is easy, especially if you can vicariously drive there. I made the following video because people have been asking EXACTLY how to get to the joint. Put on your glasses and take notes. Use the HD function if you want the best view. Here we go.

Now you’re all set. When you arrive in Aruba and have a hankering for quality BBQ at very reasonable prices, all you have to do is fire up the fun machine and get on the roll.

Bon dia.

Driving to King Ribs, Aruba

A few days ago, I posted about the food served at King Ribs in Oranjestaad, Aruba, DWI. Lots of people have been asking how to get there. Thus, I made the following video to show the route from the hotel area on the main highway. Check it out:

Now you know how to get there. Enjoy the food and don’t eat too much!

Bon dia.

Waterspout, Aruba

So, I’m looking out my front window in Savaneta, Aruba, and see a menacing storm cloud to the south, looming over San Nicolaas. Winding down from it was a waterspout. I made this short video, which isn’t my best, but you can see the little twister.

I’m just glad it lost steam and faded away before it got near my house. (Sorry about the spelling error in the title slide. It is SAVANETA.)

Bon dia.
