Beam on the Beach, Aruba

Certainly Jim Beam is a fine bourbon whiskey and Palm Beach, Aruba, is a great stretch of sand. Why not enjoy them both at the same time?

That’s a fine combination when done in moderation or just a little bit more. Do you have a favorite drink for the beach? Bon dia.

On the Griddle, Aruba

Just got back from an early morning visit to the gym and it was time to refuel. Loaded up the griddle with some of my breakfast favorites, a couple of fried eggs, pepper jack cheese on top, grilled tomato, and some sautéed asparagus for contrast and wacky taste. Here’s the photo:

Breakfast on the griddle in Aruba

Add some turkey bacon, glass of juice, half a gallon of water… you’re all set. That little griddle has served me well, cooking breakfast and other meals for more than four years now. I did away with the full-size stove. It threw too much heat into the shack. Better to have a grill outside and this little Presto number on the inside. Efficient, inexpensive, perfect. Eat well. You’re worth it!

Office Extension, Aruba

Not sure which part of the office this happens to be, but I was working on some story material yesterday at The Beach Bar, located on Palm Beach, Aruba. Here’s the photo:

My temporary office extension, Aruba.

Took the old Mont Blanc pen and put it to good use. This is the one that was recently repaired. Performed perfectly, as did the Jack Daniel’s to the left. Very nice view here, just a few steps away from Scott’s Brats, in front of the Playa Linda, where I would have been but they’re closed on Sunday. Have to swing by today to fuel up. Bon dia and keep reading!

White Modern Cuisine, Aruba, video visit

There have been several previous posts about White Modern Cuisine, perhaps the best restaurant here in Aruba. Now, we’re going to make a video visit, complete with shots of the kitchen staff in action. So, roll the video:

This is serious food, but with no pretension. You can relax, have a great drink, and truly enjoy the food. Next time you’re in Aruba, give this place a try. It’s well worth it.
