Playa Linda on Palm Beach, Aruba

The sun was going down and I wanted to test the iPhone 6 in that difficult video condition. Being on Palm Beach, Aruba, made it a great place. So here’s it is, showing the Playa Linda timeshare then over to the beach.

The performance on the iPhone 6 was fairly good. Sunset is a difficult challenge for video exposure, especially with limited controls. Either way, we got another look at this part of Aruba.

Cruis Ship Evening, Aruba

Still working with the iPhone and now the iPad movie making video apps. The other app became very frustrating for editing, so I returned to iMovie, which is much easier although it does lack some of the capabilities. What works… works. At any rate, here’s a look at Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas, docked in Oranjestaad, Aruba.

Of course, in low light the iPhone and iPad cameras are mediocre at best. Then again, cameras, like eyes, require light. The better the light, the better the image, regardless of the camera because the camera is merely recording what’s there to the best of its ability. The work continues.

Arashi Beach, Aruba, iPhone 6, video

Here’s a quick look at Aruba’s Arashi Beach. It’s a small beach, located near the northwest end of the island. As you’ll see in this video, they have barriers set up to mark the turtle egg-laying areas. Check it out:

Still learning the app for the iPhone video. Soon will be able to edit and post direct from the iPhone which will be faster. Might add one of those external lenses just for a change of perspective. Stay tuned.

Baby Beach, Aruba, iPhone video

Continuing with the series of iPhone 6 videos, here’s a quick look at Baby Beach, located near the southern end of the island of Aruba.

This video was made on a quiet, weekday morning. As you can see, no one around. If you want to enjoy a nice swim in tranquil waters, head there early. Afterward, stop in to Charlie’s Bar for a cold drink or New Pueblito Paisa for a hearty lunch, both in San Nicolaas. I’ll post more about those places soon.
