Tugboat Video Visit

I had the good fortune of heading back to the Philadelphia waterfront, only a stone’s throw from where I used to work. I visited a handsome tugboat and made this video, showing you some of the particulars. Take a look.

I want to thank the captain and crew for having me aboard. It was fun to check out a newer boat with all the latest equipment. I hope to stop by again soon.

The Right Seat

I had the pleasure of taking a nice flight in a different plane. This time, it was a Piper Archer for a run around the Philadelphia Area. I sat in the right seat for the first half of the flight, which was different because I was able to snap a few photos, such as this one of the skyline from about 1,200′ MSL:

The other benefit was getting this close to Philadelphia proper, an area I usually avoid. From there it was a slow turn to the north and then west out to Chester County Airport (KMQS) for lunch. Here’s a look at Runway 29 on final:

Had a tasty lunch then took off, this time in the left seat for the short run back to headquarters. Was a great flight. I suppose they all are. Always do your checklist!

The Continental, Philadelphia

Enjoyed a tasty business lunch at The Continental in Philadelphia. The restaurant is on the corner of 2nd and Market Streets, in the vicinity of several people with whom a do a lot business. So, it is a logical location. We were in a bit of hurry but hungry. Sat down at 1PM and by 1:15 we were eating. Service here is on top of everything. A couple of cups of minestrone (the soup of the day) and a grilled chicken melt with salad you see here:

Also a club sandwich that you see next:

Decent atmosphere here, especially if you get a booth by the windows from which you can watch the action in the street. Pay attention to business, but enjoy the meal. You can do both at The Continental, which is why I stop in here on a regular basis.
