Aruba BBQ, iPhone 6, video

I know today is Tuesday, but I needed some time to recover from the massive Sunday BBQ feast here in Aruba. It’s usually a take-out meal, but I like to enjoy it fresh from the grill.

That’s quite a plate of food. You get about 1/3 of a chicken, some ribs, fried rice, cole slaw, and corn on the cob. All for the one low price (at the time of this post) of 15 florins. Call it US$ 8.50 or so. What a deal! There are many places in Aruba that serve the Sunday BBQ feast, this one was at Great Rich Restaurant in Paradera, which is my favorite. Enjoy every meal. And eat slowly; it’s better for you.

Arashi Beach, Aruba, iPhone 6, video

Here’s a quick look at Aruba’s Arashi Beach. It’s a small beach, located near the northwest end of the island. As you’ll see in this video, they have barriers set up to mark the turtle egg-laying areas. Check it out:

Still learning the app for the iPhone video. Soon will be able to edit and post direct from the iPhone which will be faster. Might add one of those external lenses just for a change of perspective. Stay tuned.

Weihenstephaner, iPhone 6, video

Stopped into a Bavaria Restaurant near Palm Beach, Aruba, DWI for a tasty Weihenstephaner. Bavaria is a great place for all sorts of German beer and food. They’re going to be adding some new things to the menu soon. So, if you’re visiting the island, check in to see what’s on offer. He’s the quick look video:

That’s a darn good beer, served by pleasant people. Enjoy every meal… and drink, too. Bon dia from Aruba.

Baby Beach, Aruba, iPhone video

Continuing with the series of iPhone 6 videos, here’s a quick look at Baby Beach, located near the southern end of the island of Aruba.

This video was made on a quiet, weekday morning. As you can see, no one around. If you want to enjoy a nice swim in tranquil waters, head there early. Afterward, stop in to Charlie’s Bar for a cold drink or New Pueblito Paisa for a hearty lunch, both in San Nicolaas. I’ll post more about those places soon.
