Eagle Beach, Aruba, iPhone video

I’ve finally given up on using the other app for editing. For camera control it’s a bit better than the built in controls on the iPhone 6. For editing, quirky and unreliable. So here’s a look at Aruba’s Eagle Beach, the part near Amsterdam Manor.

This time of the year, the Caribbean is almost as warm as bath water. Enjoy it!

Cruis Ship Evening, Aruba

Still working with the iPhone and now the iPad movie making video apps. The other app became very frustrating for editing, so I returned to iMovie, which is much easier although it does lack some of the capabilities. What works… works. At any rate, here’s a look at Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas, docked in Oranjestaad, Aruba.

Of course, in low light the iPhone and iPad cameras are mediocre at best. Then again, cameras, like eyes, require light. The better the light, the better the image, regardless of the camera because the camera is merely recording what’s there to the best of its ability. The work continues.

A drink at Charlie’s, Aruba, video

Still working with the iPhone 6 and that video app. The app is actually more challenging than the iMovie version that comes with the iPhone, which is a disappointment. Still there is some functionality such as exposure control and such that is better. Anyway, here’s a drink at Charlie’s Bar in San Nicolaas, Aruba, DWI.

I hope to get better with this app soon. It is convenient to upload directly from the iPhone. Make blogging a bit more immediate and fun. Still, needs some work and practice. Stay tuned for the results.

Aruba BBQ, iPhone 6, video

I know today is Tuesday, but I needed some time to recover from the massive Sunday BBQ feast here in Aruba. It’s usually a take-out meal, but I like to enjoy it fresh from the grill.

That’s quite a plate of food. You get about 1/3 of a chicken, some ribs, fried rice, cole slaw, and corn on the cob. All for the one low price (at the time of this post) of 15 florins. Call it US$ 8.50 or so. What a deal! There are many places in Aruba that serve the Sunday BBQ feast, this one was at Great Rich Restaurant in Paradera, which is my favorite. Enjoy every meal. And eat slowly; it’s better for you.
